SIONYX AURORA BASE COLOUR DAY NIGHT  vision camera Explorer edition is the world’s first camera capable of capturing all of life’s moments during the day or night. It has three viewing modes, Day, Twilight and Night, which produces a colour night vision image in low light scenarios, full night vision with infrared illumination and full colour by day.

SiOnyx includes a patented Ultra Low-Light IR sensor technology that not only captures images under low-light conditions, but produces a true night vision image in monochrome or in colour (requires ambient light sources such as moonlight, starlight, street lighting etc).

This patented ultra low-light sensor technology enables you to see things the human eye simply can’t, with the option to record.

Day-only use cameras are capable of higher resolution while still remaining physically small, because they only need very small pixels. True night vision requires larger pixels.

That means night vision at higher resolution would require a sensor at least double Aurora’s 1” size, a much larger lens (say goodbye portability…) and a budget busting price tag of more than 10x Aurora’s current cost.

At just under 230grams Aurora is sized to fit comfortably in one hand for easy operation. The SiOnyx Aurora packs a wealth of features into a compact package. A removable neck strap allows you to keep it accessible on the move.

TIME LAPSE

Back at your base camp you’re sat admiring night sky through your SiOnyx Aurora, when you hear a rustle in the bushes. Curious as to what it could be, you set up Aurora in time-lapse mode to record periodically what happens while you sleep.

INTEGRATED VIDEO RECORDING

SiOnyx Aurora stores imagery on a 32 GB Micro SD card (included) which provides enough storage for up to 4 hours of video.

WIFI CAPABLE

With SiOnyx Aurora’s WiFi capability and app for iOS or Android, you can share your adventures on social media, so that friends, family, and followers never miss out!

SIZE MATTERS: ONE INCH SENSOR FOR LOW LIGHT SENSITIVITY

The difference with the Aurora lies in its sensor which gives the camera true night vision capability. The sensor is a 1″ optical format which makes the Aurora so good at capturing colour and motion in twilight or in extremely low light conditions. There’s no other action camera available with the low light sensitivity performance of the Aurora at this affordable price point.
