Description
PULSAR THERMION 2 XP50 PRO THERMAL SCOPE
Pulsar Thermion 2 XP50 PRO thermal scope uses the latest state of the art sub 25mK NETD 640×480 PRO sensor in a traditional 30mm scope tube design, with the aesthetics and feel of a traditional day scope. This gives the Thermion 2 XP50 PRO class leading thermal imaging performance, making it perfectly suited for long range fox and vermin control.
PULSAR THERMION 2 XP50 PRO THERMAL SCOPE
Whilst the measurable specifications look similar on paper to the previous Thermion 2 XP50 which this scope replaces, the new Thermion 2 XP50 PRO features more advanced electronic hardware. This translates into more advanced image processing, greater power efficiency and a more stable wifi connection.
These advancements include a highly sensitive, 640×480 17 micron sub 25mK NETD thermal sensor which provides an exceptional, richly contrasted thermal image for the enhanced identification of wildlife. The subject image background is reproduced in extremely fine detail, ensuring you get a complete picture of the surrounding topography with an increased level of depth perception, the likes of which is only seen in the very best thermal imagers.
Next Gen Thermal Performance
The Thermion 2 XP50 Pro delivers ultimate detection efficiency through the F50/1.0 fast lens. Combining this lens design with a highly sensitive thermal sensor enables the scope to offer astounding detection capabilities. A standard 1.8m tall object can be detected out to 1800m in daylight or complete darkness in all weather conditions. The internal focusing mechanism on the objective lens will maintain a crisp image at any range. The ergonomic focusing wheels found either side of the Thermion 2 XP50 Pro make focusing a breeze, regardless of whether you’re left or right-handed.
The base magnification increases four times at 2x – 16x, with a zoom which can change either gradually by 2x increments, or continuously, allowing the user to set the ideal magnification ratio and visible field of view to suit any situation.
Ultra Clear HD AMOLED Display
The impressive, high definition 1024×768 HD AMOLED display features enhanced colour rendering and a high contrast image to provide a clear and smooth picture whilst on-the-move. Coupling this with the wide-angle 29.5° eyepiece enables this riflescope to offer comfortable image perception with no keyhole effect or eye strain.
Picture in Picture (PiP) mode uses 10% of the AMOLED display to allow the user to display an HD zeroing frame. This mode will display a magnified image of the target and reticle, whilst simultaneously retaining visual control over the entire field of view.
Multiple Zero Profiles
5 shooting profiles for a multitude of weapon or cartridge types are available with the Thermion 2 XP50 Pro. Each profile can hold up to 10 zeroing distances with up to 50 zeroing distances in total. Furthermore, a selection of 10 electronic reticle configurations is available in 9 colour modes. These electronic reticles are displayed in the same plane as the target.
The hunt need not stop with the Thermion 2 XP50 Pro, which operates for up to 10 hours on a single charge, with two rechargeable batteries provided (one built-in at 4.9 Ah capacity and one replaceable at 2 Ah capacity). Quick replacement of the second battery is made possible thanks to the embossment on the body, making swapping the batteries by touch nice and easy in total darkness.
The Thermion 2 XP50 Pro was designed to be robust and durable whilst retaining the familiar shape of a traditional day scope. Therefore mounting the unit is just as easy with a set of standard 30mm ring mounts. High calibre weapons do not pose a problem for the Thermion, due to its extremely high resistance to recoil. This means it can be used safely on high calibre hunting rifles, as well as smooth-bore and pneumatic weapons.
Designed to work in a wide variety of temperatures, this riflescope will operate in -25 to +50 °C, with the frost-free AMOLED display providing a stunning image, even when objects are observed in motion. Its IPX waterproof rating also means the Thermion 2 XP50 Pro will work seamlessly in heavy rain, high humidity, or even after immersion in 1 meter of water for up to 30 minutes.
Capture all the once-in-a-lifetime moments with the Thermion 2 XP50 Pro’s built-in video and still image recording facility. This, combined with the built-in WiFi module and Stream Vision 2 connectivity, enable the user to view and share memorable moments of their hunt.
Connecting the Stream Vision 2 mobile app to the device will open up a whole range of features and functions. The ability to use your mobile phone or tablet as a second screen, remote control of digital functions, viewing and sharing videos and still images, remotely installing all the latest firmware updates, and much more. The app is available for Apple and Android devices on the Apple AppStore and the Google Play Store respectively.
